The Clerc Center at Gallaudet University has recently released a free online resource presented in ASL, "15 Principles for Reading to Deaf Children". These principles are best practices for how to read aloud to deaf and hard of hearing children. There is an intro video and then individual video clips for each of the 15 principles. Total viewing time is aproximately 20 minutes. All videos are signed, captioned and voiced. This is an excellent resource for parents, tutors, and anyone else who has the priviledge of sharing a book with a young deaf child.
