Congratulations, Coach G!

The Louisiana Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance has named our very own Susan Gremillion as the Ellen Gillentine Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year!

"Coach G" (as her students and athletes refer to her) has been teaching and coaching for 15 years.  At LSD, Coach G teaches Adapted Physical Education (APE) classes and is an assistant coach for the LSD football team.  In her spare time, she coaches girls basketball and softball, umpires high school softball, and volunteers at various events such as the RocketKidz Triathalons and the Cajun Classic Wheelchair Tennis Tournament.  Coach G takes the greatest pride in bringing her favorite athletes to participate in the bowling and track & field events at the Capitol Area Special Olympics.

As a teacher, Coach G strives to treat the youth she impacts as she'd want her own children taught, whether in the classroom or on the field.  Using respect, fairness, and a competitive spirit, she gives 100% of herself, challenging her students/athletes to give 100% back.  She is a proponent of giving the best of what you have to give right now.

CONGRATULATIONS, COACH G!

WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!
